Where did the year go? I just can't keep up. And I'm still in denial that my big baby is turning 4 in 2 weeks. It's all just a figment of your imagination.
For this week we're kind of eating out of the freezer. It's a bit full so nothing new this week:
Monday - BBQ at the local club
Tuesday - Spaghetti Bolognaise
Wednesday - Lamb Souvlaki
Thursday - Quiche
Friday - Chicken Fried Rice
Saturday - Pot Roast
Sunday - Toasted Sandwiches
Best part? Grocery shopping came to $45. Nice!
To see what everyone else is eating this week, head over to Laura's site and have a peek!
Coincidence! I'm also eating out of the freezer this week and the pantry, lots of baked beans in there!. This week I only had to buy perishables, bread, milk etc. And coffee of course. My husband drinks so much coffee I sometimes think I should buy shares in Nescafe. But I don't complain since it's his substitute for alcohol. He gave up drinking so that he could come back home after we separated. He is a "violent" drunk and getting hit (it wasn't really bad enough to be called beaten) once was enough. He's been sober now for 4 1/2 years.

Hi Kin
Guess what? I finally made the apricot chicken and we're having it tonight. We had a small taste and it is DELICIOUS! So thanks again for that recipe :)
Well done for eating out of the freezer!
River - I'm soooo glad your husband is sober now. Have you tried decaf Nescafe? That's what we drink?

River - I have started chucking baked beans in with the spaghetti bolognaise, stretches the mince further and the kids don't complain! My Hubby has a coffee addiction too, thankfully not for the same reason, I'd much rather coffee than anything else. Glad he's doing so well!.
Kelley, Hubby is making the souvlaki, so I'll try and find the recipe later.
Marcia, I hope the apricot chicken lives up to expectations - it's a geniune hit here.

Hey Kin, I recently came across a suggestion to add a tin of 3 bean mix to the mince for taco's to make the meat go further - would probably work in a few other dishes too.

We don't like the decaf of any brand. To us it just tastes like I imagine sawdust would. I'm an International Roast fan myself (those freeze dried types give me migraines) and since I limit myself to one cup a day (two if I don't have to work next day) I don't feel the need to switch to decaf.
