- Work out how much money is due in this week.
- Pay the mortgage.
- Put aside money for food & fuel
- Pay off the highest priority bills until all the money is spent.
- If there is money left over, put it in the bills account for the bills next week, and start planning a real budget.
Guess what! No money left this week. Probably not next week either. Of course the week the tax returns come through it's a different story. but until then...
I did quite well this week on the grocery shopping, only spent $80. We're also staying home a lot so petrol use is quite down. Maybe I will get these bills paid of next week after all....
